On November 21, 2010, CT Dancers For Good will hold it's 3rd annual "Stars of Tomorrow...Giving Back Today"!
An exciting fundraising opportunity for Dancers Responding to AIDS (DRA) –CTt Dancers for Good
brings together dance studios from across Connecticut with Dance and Broadway
Professionals for an unforgettable evening of dance with an awareness to help those in need. Dancers Responding to AIDS (DRA) and Broadway Cares/Equity
Fights AIDS (BC/EFA) are the nation’s leading industry-based, nonprofit AIDS fundraising and grant making organizations helping those in need across the United
States, Canada, Puerto Rico & Africa.
Co-founders Cathi LaChioma
& Kym Nash share the belief, that teaching the arts to our young dancers isn’t enough, we should help them become responsible and
caring members of the
community at large and embrace the humanities as well. DRA utilizes the
professional dance community for most of its fundraising. In addition, they also depend on young dancers nationwide, in their outreach program. This
program involves the non-professional dance community and its young dancers in respect to local fundraising and the education of their
own communities. DRA is supported by organizations like New York City Dance Alliance, Dance Masters of America, and the Tremaine Dance Conventions.
We hope you will join is as the "Stars come out so others can shine"!!
We
hope you & your dancers will join us in this worthwhile endeavor.
